Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Prepare the Cake Batter:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.
- Make the Cinnamon Swirl:
- In a separate bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Assemble the Cake:
- Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Spoon half of the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter in the pan and gently swirl it using a knife or a spatula.
- Pour the remaining cake batter over the cinnamon swirl layer.
- Spoon the remaining cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter and swirl it again.
- Bake the Cake:
- Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The baking time may vary, so keep an eye on the cake.
- Prepare the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until creamy and smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to beat until the frosting is well combined and smooth.
- Frost the Cake:
- Once the cake has cooled slightly, spread the cream cheese frosting over the top of the cake.
- Serve:
- Slice the Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Cake into squares and serve warm. The cake can also be served at room temperature.
