Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare the Cake Batter:
    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
    • Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  3. Make the Cinnamon Swirl:
    • In a separate bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

  6. Prepare the Cream Cheese Frosting:
    • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until creamy and smooth.
    • Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to beat until the frosting is well combined and smooth.
  7. Frost the Cake:
    • Once the cake has cooled slightly, spread the cream cheese frosting over the top of the cake.
  8. Serve:
